For Talib Kweli + Hi-Tek’s Revolutions Per Minute, the group, also known as Reflection Eternal, gave me the objective to make the album look like vintage revolutionary propaganda art. They also really wanted the cover to have multiple layers so that their fans would discover new elements with each viewing. The result was album art that’s both dark and powerful, utilizing B&W photography for dramatic effect and red hues to convey revolution.
