Sierra & David’s Wedding

Sierra and David are a very eclectic, non-traditional couple, so the last thing they wanted was a traditional invitation. We decided that a vintage route best captured the essence of both of them. Since the wedding was taking place outdoors, I immediately thought of Aaron Draplin’s Field Notes as a great vehicle for the invitation (and it just so happens that David is an avid Draplin/ Field Notes fan). Through illustrations and mementos, presented in a faux Field Notes booklet, we invite friends and family in a unique and compelling way. And to highlight Sierra’s love of books the RSVP card and the website info card mimic vintage library materials. All of this, sealed in a retro “air mail” envelope, makes this invite a memorable start to a lifelong union.
